Expat4D
Expat4D is a 4D plug-in version of the popular XML parser expat by James Clark. Like expat, it is a completely, freeware, open-source project. XML documents of any size can be parsed from text and BLOB variables, including parsing in 32k chunks.

A simple utility for 4D developers to allow easy pasting of regularly used code and comments in 4D methods, e.g. standard form events, triggers, etc.

About these Components, Modules and Libraries
|
|
After over 10 years of 4D development, we have collected quite a large amount of code which we find is used in many of our applications. Now with the new components in 4D 6.7 we have made a concerted effort to turn these modules into easy to install components, ensure that each can stand alone perfectly by re-creating each in it's own database structure.
These components are released as open-source, so it is entirely up to you whether you want to install them as components, or move the code into your applications by hand. We would advice installing them as components as this makes the updating process easier and allows you to hide the code which you never need to call.
When using these modules and components, we only ask that the comments stating the authors name be left in the methods and Insider comments are left intact. These modules are provided as is with no warranty or support from mitchenall.com, but if you do find problems, we'd like to hear about them, and if possible we'll provide a fixed version. We'd also love to hear from you if you have found any of these components useful or have enhanced or bug fixed them in anyway so that we can perhaps include your enhancements in the released versions.
